Team Ordinary Athlete: Costello, Bill

Why I Started Running:

My older brother and I started running half marathons in 2006 and then completed 12 together. He since retired from the long ones. And after a few years pause, I ran the Marine Marathon in 2018 and caught the bug again.

My Favorite Moments / Biggest Accomplishments:

-Running 3:21:13 marathon at the Chicago Marathon in October 2008 and qualifying for Boston where I ran my pb at 3:20.07. Both were in the 45-49 year old age group.
-Creating a half marathon 501C Foundation and starting a half marathon and other races that annual attract 3k people each march to my home town in Cheshire CT.

Future Goals:

Running Berlin this weekend, first international race. With NY, Boston & Chicago (and hopefully Berlin) that leave me Tokyo and London for the big majors and Abbott World Marathon. Considering the Seven Continent challenge but not sure my wife will go for it. But on the waiting list for Antarctica.
